I have a strong passion for both History & Political Science and love anything to do with either. I will be graduating soon & have been contemplating what path to follow next. Recently, I have been giving serious thought about teaching. Tutoring will allow me to help others as well as develop valuable skills that will be helpful in the teaching profession. I am new to "formal tutoring" however I have helped several friends & younger brothers achieve their academic goals in the past. This past semester, a friend of mine enrolled himself in a 300 level history course for a humanities requirement. Not having taken a history course since high school, he found himself in over his head & failed the first two tests. The rest of the semester I assisted him with his studies & he finished with a B-. I thoroughly enjoyed helping him learn about a topic that I was very passionate about & was glad to see him achieve his goal. I also have taken several courses in Geology & have developed a strong interest in the subject. I recently made Geology my Thematic Sequence (similar to a Minor) at Miami.
