Experience

I have previous experience at tutoring, having tutored middle school students in various subject while in high school. I also worked in my high school's writing lab my junior and senior year of high school. I aided students in forming paper topics, writing papers, and editing papers. My education has involved various literature and writing classes. Some of these classes have included Native American Literature, British Literature of the 17th and 18th Centuries, Creative Writing, and multiple writing workshops. Through these classes, I have gained better analytical skills and am able to better understand what an author is trying to say in his or her writing. I have learned about the creative writing process, and how to fully write a story and/or poem, including the creation of characters, plot, etc. I want to tutor because I love helping students in subjects that I am passionate about. I love seeing a students improve and excel in classes that they may have been struggling in, I also love seeing a student become passionate about a subject that they may have been nervous about.

Hobbies

Outside of school, I can usually be found with my nose buried in a book, my fingers flying across the keyboard as I write my latest poem or short story, or simply outside enjoying nature. I also enjoy the occasional lazy day consisting of watching TV and movies for hours on end.
