I am a 2013 graduate from Bowling Green State University. My main area of focus is Asian Studies, with a concentration in languages, particularly Japanese, Chinese, and Russian. While attending BGSU, I competed in the Olympiada of Spoken Russian, placing second overall. In addition to these languages, I have also studied Arabic and German. I have traveled extensively both internationally and domestically. In 2006 and 2008 I completed tours with People to People Student Ambassador Programs. I have over ten years of experience working with children, teaching foreign languages, arts and crafts, and outdoor recreation. I am highly passionate about education and learning and I am currently studying to take the Japanese Language Proficiency Test.

Hobbies

I study Jujitsu, Aikido, and Tang Soo Do. In Jujitsu I am currently studying for my Black Belt. I am also interested in travel, having visited four continents and eleven countries. I love drawing, cooking, writing, and anything to do with creativity. I am also an avid reader and writer. In my spare time I enjoy photography, and have had the fortune to have one of my photographs published in the Photographer's Forum Magazine while attending college. I enjoy challenging myself to accomplish new things, and I recently completed my first 10k race.
