Experience: Currently Accounting Tutor University of Toledo As a tutor in library, I answer students’ questions, help them with homework related to the courses in my regular working hours 10 hours a week. Mar. 2008-Jan. 2009 Teaching assistant New Century Computer Education Inc., Chongqing, P. R. China Associated professors lectures, Graded homework, quizzes, and tests, organized teaching materials and files, posted newest announcement and agenda. Why you want to be a tutor? I am interested in helping people. When I first came to US, I can barely understand what the professor said in the class, and feel very struggle and upset, because of the language problem as an international student. Fortunately, I heard that there is an accounting lab can help students for better understanding of accounting knowledge and these tutors are patience and smart. I went to there to have a try. They really impressed me. With their help, I got great improvement on my study and became friends of these good tutors. Now I am a graduate student. I am so appreciated for what these tutors did to help me when I get frustrated, so I also want to help other students, who have hard time in their study. And hope they can help other when they have the ability. In addition, I like to talk to people. Communication is the most efficient way to enhance thoughts and enrich knowledge. I think tutoring can not only help students in their study, but also increase tutors’ express and communication skills, which is one of the most essential characteristics in our further professional career.
