I'm a recent graduate of The University of Toledo in Asian Studies, and I was able to visit Japan during my time as a student. I'm also currently a graduate student at the University of Bridgeport, working on a Master's degree in Human Nutrition. I'm also aiming for a certificate in Pilates so that I can become a fitness instructor.
Experience
In college, I began to pick up a few students that needed a tutor in a variety of studies - math, English, whatever was needed. Because my undergraduate study dealt with a lot of International students, English was a big focus of mine. I'm also a people person, so I was able to build a lot of friendships around these students, which I think is important. There should be a level of professionalism in tutoring, but one that is mixed with the feeling that someone really does want to help you get better at whatever you are struggling with. So that's my job as a tutor! To build confidence in a way that the student will feel they can do anything, handle any subject, and achieve any grade they aim for.
